Cornelia Rossi
SEP Trainer, psychologist and Rolfing instructor of Hungarian origin
Cornelia Rossi lives in São Paulo, Brazil, and has been working as a somatic therapist for over 30 years. She holds degrees in biology and psychology, with a doctoral degree also in psychology. She is a senior trainer for both Somatic Experiencing® International (SEI) and the Rolf Institute® for Structural Integration (RISI). As a board member of RISI, she initiated the international expansion of the US-based organization. Cornelia is also a board member at SEI, as well as the founder and chair of the expert committee of the Brazilian SE® Association (Associação Brasileira do Trauma or ABT).
Born in Hungary and currently residing in Brazil, she frequently travels internationally. Having lived in numerous countries, she enriches SE® education with a truly multicultural perspective. As a survivor of World War II and a refugee, she experienced firsthand the powerful healing effects of SE®. She is committed to making SE® accessible to new communities worldwide. She has participated in relief efforts during natural disasters in Thailand, Japan, and Brazil, applying her SE® knowledge and experience to serve these causes.
Another of Cornelia's passions is supporting the development of SE® research and increasing the availability of SE® publications. As a biologist and psychologist, she values research and research data, and has previously led research departments in various organizations. In 2012, she founded the independent International SE® Research Coalition and launched the SEI SE® Research Committee.
