SEP Trainer, SEI (Somatic Experiencing® International) Faculty member
Osteopath and craniosacral trainer, Kavi is a teacher and co-director of the International Institute for Craniosacral Balancing® and a training member of Somatic Experiencing®.
Kavi Gemin earned his liberal arts degree from the Istituto d'Arte in Florence, Italy in 1984, and worked for years as a designer and art teacher. Later, after training as an art therapist, he worked with adults, children, and physically or mentally disabled people. He expanded his therapeutic training with various somatic methodologies, such as traditional massage, deep tissue work, Ayurvedic massage, and craniosacral biodynamics. He obtained his osteopathic qualification from the Canadian College of Osteopathy.
His further studies include NLP, inner child work, codependency, and developmental psychology. He earned his pre- and perinatal therapist diploma from Ray Castellino in California, USA, and leads birth process workshops. He has also trained in System Centered Therapy®, a method developed by Yvonne Agazarian for working with systems and group dynamics. Kavi obtained his adult educator and adult education certification from the Swiss SVEB Association. He teaches full-time worldwide and enjoys getting to know different cultures and language groups.
Kavi's attraction to Somatic Experiencing® led him to study with Peter Levine, and he obtained his SEP certification in 2001. Since then, he has been assisting and supervising Somatic Experiencing® students, mostly in Italy - deepening and integrating his understanding of the methodology (in himself). The principles of SE® are fully integrated into his teachings and treatments as a somatic therapist.
As a teacher of the SE® methodology, Kavi shares his knowledge and passion for anatomy, physiology, and neurobiology in his groups - with clarity, passion, and creativity.
