Mehmet is a Canadian/Turkish SEP. He obtained his counseling psychology degree from Adler University in Canada. Previously, he worked as a family therapist and addiction counselor in Canada, and currently has a private practice in Istanbul, where he sees clients both in person and online.

He teaches the psychology of trauma at Maltepe University in Turkey. His specialty is working with somatic symptoms arising from stress, grief, divorce, and emotional difficulties such as depression and anxiety.

He has been studying SE® and other somatic models since 2015 and has been participating as an assistant in SE® trainings worldwide since 2019.

The impact of SE® on my life: Since SE® entered my life, my worldview has changed. I see differently who I am and what my purpose is in the world.

"I started going to therapy in my late twenties due to anxiety and depression, and my quality of life slowly began to improve. After a decade of therapy, I decided to become a therapist myself and began studying psychology. I earned my master's degree in counseling psychology from Adler University in Canada. I gained extensive professional experience in the field of addictions. After that, I continued working with families, couples, and individual clients. I was staring straight into the 'face' of trauma, but I didn't recognize exactly what I was looking at then.

After discovering SE®, I fell completely in love with this new perspective and began learning somatic modalities such as Bodynamic, Organic Intelligence, Middendorf Breath Experience, BBTR (Biodynamic Breath and Trauma Release® (BBTRS), and TRE.

Currently, I live in Istanbul, Turkey, where I have a private practice. I teach 'The Psychology of Trauma' at Maltepe University. I see individual clients, conduct trainings and supervisions for students and therapists who want to train in somatic psychology, and I am present as an assistant at various SE® trainings in Canada, the USA, and Europe."
